About Greenerbuilding.org

Who is Greenerbuilding.org?

Greenerbuilding.org is service of the non-profit Center for ReSource Conservation in Boulder, CO.

Why Greenerbuilding.org?

The Center for ReSource Conservation is committed to environmental stewardship, especially as it pertains to the home. We believe that buildings, which have a typical life span of 50-years, are the place to start when it comes to resource conservation. By encouraging the creation of well-built buildings made with sustainable materials that help to maintain the occupant’s health and well being while simultaneously costing less to operate and maintain, we all benefit in the long and short-term.

On a practical note, we feel that the largest barriers between green building products and technologies that should dominate the building materials market and their actual implementation in the building community is the lack of unbiased information about these products and their availability. In Greenerbuilding.org we have created a forum to bring information to the building community, be they professional builders and architects, or a homeowner doing a small remodel. Most importantly we have created community meeting place where people around the world can discuss green building products and their strengths and weaknesses in specific regions and climates.

How do I get involved?

If you are the manufacturer of a product and are interested in having that product listed for free on Greenerbuilding.org or know of a green building program or information source we should know about, or simply want to talk about green building, contact us.
