I have this Equator combo washer dryer since last 19 months and this equipment has done a great job. I know that it takes a bit longer to dry but I also know that it runs on 110v. If you know how to use it, it will work like magic!!

I am a service provider for Equator washers and dryers in Chicago. Many of these units are in use and work well but a few have problems. Their parts are available through Sears and Appliance Help Desk. Call anytime for service (312) 285-0291. We only provide COD service on Equator.

I would give the product a “okay” rating. However, the service after the sale is bad, real bad.

The first problem I had with the unit took three weeks to get fixed under warranty. It appears EVERY phone number you call is routed to India.

Almost three years later the unit has broken down again. I am now going on three weeks and still can not get anyone to sell me parts. I call the numbers on their website and always go to a message system. They have not returned the messages yet.

In my research I have found the same units under different brand names. I would try another brand and avoid Equator.

This Equator washer/dryer combo actually performed as advertise (long wash/dry times with wrinkled clothes commomplace) but it broke down at least three times in 4 years of operation, and had a fatal flaw develop after just 4 years. The local repair people seemed to have NO interest in doing repairs which were all under warranty. I would not recommend it as it was frustrating getting repair work done and most repairs took 6-8 weeks to complete due to parts problems.

I have been burned by this company who have refused to pay their freight bills to me as their logistics provider. I would be wary of buying their appliances as you may not have a way to answer questions or service claims when they go out of business.

This is my second year using the Equator combination washer and dryer. It is great for me because I live in a very small space- that does not have a dryer vent, so I could not have had a washer and dryer there otherwise.

The drying is very slow on my unit, which is challenging and expensive! Still, when you have 3 children, it is better than going to the laundrymat.
